IBlake Project Party – Bianca Mulaney

November 28, 2011

We’re going to have an end-of-project party for our service learning project, IBlake. Over 50 high school mentors and 50 elementary school mentees will gather together to celebrate our successes this year!

I will use my party scholarship to buy disposable cameras for each child and hamburgers and hotdogs for a cookout.

People should vote for me because we are enriching the lives of second and third graders from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds through our mentoring program, IBlake. IB student mentors meet with their mentees once a week after school for two hours at a local elementary school. We participate in activities ranging from a literacy program to leadership and team-building ropes courses to science experiments to cultural presentations.
