FAQs

I haven’t really had anyone ask me questions so I made a few up.

1. Is this for real?

Yes, it is.

2. Why are you doing this?

Because I think my academic scholarship program is a little boring. I also think it’s important to learn how to have a good time.

3. How do I vote?

First find the party you want to vote for. Next, look for the little vote thing to the left of the title. Click the word “Vote!”. It looks like this:

4. Are you going to sell off my email to a bunch of spammers?

Nope.

5. Do people have to vote for me to win the Wine Scholarship?

Nope.

Hi! What a fun idea! I am a Mom of 4, and the Leader of 2 Girl Scout Troops, and 1 Boy Scout den. I have 2 questions! First, is there a limit on how many times one person can apply or is there any time limit? Second, does it help your odds of winning if you submit a picture? The reason for my questions: Seeing as I have 4 kids, I throw at least 4 parties a year for them and oh, yeah, my husband 😉 but I also have lots of events for my Scouts as well! Thanks, and way to pay it forward and put a smile on someone’s face! 🙂

Hi Tami,

You can apply as many times as you want. This is a voting-based program so I don’t pick the winner- the world does. The amount of the award and the deadlines will vary. I just launched the site so I’m working out the details.

Do i have to use the money for my party :0

Once you have the money you can spend it however you want. It would be sad to let down all your voters who were invited to the party though!

Mr. Mike, I appreciate your party scholarship! I have a delima though. What if our ‘likes’ on facebook are higher than are votes because of a misunderstanding from voters?

Apparently, we can only vote for a particular party once..???

Yes. You can only vote for a party once. Otherwise it might get out of hand.

The party scholarship say the votes will be counted April 31, but there is not a April 31. When will the votes be counted?

I have a small problem. I applied to the scholarship and i have it posted on facebook but when i try to look up my application or Party, there is no evidence and this shows up ‘You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘ ”, ”, ”, ”)’ at line 1′. i don’t know what to do and i have applied twice. the same thing happened to my other party under my best friends name – francesca montenegro

If you applied during the last round and had fewer than 10 votes your application was probably disqualified. Send me the URLs and I will try to reinstate them, otherwise you will have to apply again.
